Noor Shah Bin Haji Saad graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Mathematics and Biology from Universiti Sains Malaysia and obtaining his teaching certificate Maktab Perguruan Persekutuan Pulau Pinang. Later, he obtained his Master of Education degree in mathematics curriculum development from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and his Doctor of Philosophy degree specialising in pedadogical content knowledge & the teaching of mathematics from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. In the field of education, he has had experiences working as a secondary school teacher (1973-1985), lecturer in teacher training colleges (1986-1987) and as an assistant director in charge of mathematics curriculum at Teacher Education Division (1987-1998), Ministry of Education Malaysia. He was also given the opportunity to undergo courses in mathematics and science education at renowned National Institute of Education Research in Japan and at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. In 1996, he was assigned as the Education Attache at the Malaysian Embassy in Washington DC, USA for three years. Currently, he holds the post as an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education at the Faculty of Science & Technology, University Pendidikan Sultan Idris ( since January 1999).
